상해 방문기 1탄

2008년 6월 25일 부터 27일까지 2박 3일 일정으로 중국 상해에 출장을 다녀왔다.

기간 내내 습하고, 덥고, 비도 오락가락 했었다.

Park Yard 란 호텔에 머물렀는데, 시설과 아침 식사는 괜찮았다.

JangJiang HiTech 단지에 있는, IT 회사들이 모여 있는 부근의 호텔 있었다.

상해 지하철 한쪽 끝이다. ㅡ,.ㅡ;;

걸림돌을 디딤돌 삼아서..

어제부로 다 읽었다.
무엇을? 엄홍길의 책을...

이런 말들이 나온다.
- 걸림돌을 디딤돌 삼아서..
- 난 지금 실패한 것이 아니고, 잠시 미끄러진 것 뿐이다.
- ...

그 외에도 엄홍길이 강조하는 내용은, 아무리 힘들고, 짜증나고, 지치더라도 포기하지 말라는 것이다.

그는 동상으로 엄지 발가락을 절단하고, 사고로 인해, 발이 180도 뒤틀려서, 제 자리를 잡기위해 쇠를 발목 부분이 박아 넣었다. 그러고도 험난한 산행을 계속한다.

그가 얻은 모든 것은 불굴의 대가인 것이다.

'Understand'

산악인 엄홍길의 책 초입부에 Understand 에 대한 얘기가 나온다.

Understand 는 아래에 서 있다는 뜻으로, 산을 아래 서서 산을 이해해야 한다는 내용이 잠깐 언급 된다.뭔가 아니 혹은 사람을 이해하려면, 아래에 서서 봐야 이해할 수가 있는 것이다.

하지만, 나를 포함하여 많은 사람들은 아래가 아닌 위에 서서 다른 사람을 보고 있는 것 같다는 생각이 들었다.이 나라 임금을 포함하여....(물론, 그 임금을 이해하지 못하는 자들도 마찬가지다.)

나라도, 아래에 서서 경건한 마음으로 지켜봐야 겠다.

짧은 치마 입은 여자는 이해하려고 시도하면 안되겠군.

When you abide in something, it becomes your very source for life. Did you know God wants you to live in Him? He wants to be your source. Abiding in God means you rely on Him for everything. You rely on Him for your strength, provision, hope, joy. Like the air you breath, you rely on Him for your very life.When you are abiding in Him, you think about Him when you go to sleep. You think about Him when you first wake up. You think about His promises all throughout the day and continually fellowship with Him in prayer. You make Him your number one priority and stay connected with other believers at church. Notice what this verse says: you will produce much fruit. When you are connected to God, everything you set your hand to will be fruitful and blessed. Just like a branch thrives when it is connected to the vine, you're going to thrive and be prosperous when you are connected to Almighty God. Depend on Him today and make Him your number one priority. As you abide in Him, He will pour out His abundant favor on you and you will live in blessing all the days of your life.


A Prayer for Today

Father in Heaven, today I am abiding in You. Like the air I breathe, I am totally dependent on You. Thank You for your promise of blessing me and helping me to always be a blessing to other people. In Jesus' name, Amen.
